Kang's rules!

  Why this document was written

On September 15, 2007, on a warm summer's night, four shots ring out in a small town murdering a 25-year-old black man.   It was not the first time someone was murdered in the last 20 years, but this time it was my innocence son.

Random murders were not my problem, I had other important things to do; now, my son is dead. For many years I had heard of innocent people being killed, but it was always someone else's problem; bad things never happened to me; it was for the police, lawyers and judges to fix, so I never did anything; until now.

As an electrician, I fix things.   To me all problems have a solution, and any problem that goes unfixed becomes worse. A small electrical problem can burn down a house. Small social problems that grow unchecked can lead to murder.

There seems to be a murder lottery; where one simply hopes his/her number never comes up. Or one thinks murder only happens to other people.

This document is dedicated to my son Kang (Ebonics for King); and is an attempt to end the murder lottery; to prevent or greatly decrease murder; to keep it  from happening to anyone else's child.

I need your help; join me in this world changing idea. In recent years over 16,000 people have been murdered annually in the United States. That's nearly three times those killed in 911.

If the question is, Can we Reduce murder in the United States by 90%?  The answer is as our President says; “Yes, me can!”

Give your contact information on the form that is on the main page, and let’s make a positive change

Murder has a pattern; if we interrupt the pattern we can stop the murder!
